Our Mission
The Trellis School Parent-Teacher Organization
(TPTO) is an organization whose purpose is to strengthen, enhance, and encourage the educational and social environment of the Trellis School. The goals of the TPTO are to complement the school curriculum with additional opportunities for parents, faculty, staff, and students to learn, socialize, communicate, and grow. The TPTO is dedicated to promoting the mission of the Trellis School by engaging the community with the school, by cultivating relationships with community members, by acting as ambassadors for the school, and by supporting the school by example and through service.
The members of the TPTO are those families, faculty, and staff members associated with the Trellis School. All families, faculty, and staff members are encouraged to participate in TPTO activities. The TPTO Board represents the membership and is comprised of members who are either elected or appointed to Board positions. The Board meets on a monthly basis and, along with other TPTO members, manages the organizational and financial aspects of all TPTO functions.
The TPTO operates on an annual budget, which is approved by the TPTO membership vote. All members of the TPTO have voting privileges. The funds used to sponsor TPTO activities are raised through TPTO fundraising events.
The success of the TPTO can be measured by the cooperative spirit with which parents, faculty, and staff work together to share their care and concern for students.
